Gryffindor is still in the lead as Alohomora turns one month old! Thanks to everyone for your activity and fun. :) OTMs will be sent to the poll once more in a couple of days.
And the plot is about to have a very surprising twist. ;) You'll find out eventually. Just don't bother asking me; my lips are sealed.

Yay! The site will most likely be up by tomorrow afternoon! All we have to do is fix a few problems in the coding and add a few more boards, and everything will be ready! =)

Ok, It’s august 4th and the site is almost done, a few simple adjustments are being placed together, things are going up rather nicely and the board looks really good. We have a few new Staff members that are all wonderful people and are all working diligently to ensure that the site is up and running as soon as possible.

Magical Abilities « Thread Started on Aug 4, 2008, 11:30am »
In here you can apply for a magical ability for your character. But you better hurry up, because each ability is limited to five characters or more or less in some cases.
One ability per character! We don't want flying werewolves that can turn into birds and tell the future running around here! (:
Vampires Vampires are mythological or folkloric revenants who subsist by feeding on the blood of the living. In folkloric tales, the undead vampires often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighbourhoods they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today's gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early Nineteenth Century.

Werewolves The werewolf is a creature that exists only for a brief period around the full moon. At any other time, a werewolf is a normal human. However, the term werewolf is used for both the wolf-like creature and the normal human. A werewolf can be distinguished from a true wolf physically by several small distinguishing characteristics, including the pupils, snout, and tufted tail. Most werewolves live outside of normal society and steal food to survive.

Animagi - ADULTS ONLY An Animagus is a witch or wizard who can turn into a particular animal at will. This ability is not innate: it must be acquired by magical means. Each Animagus has a specific animal form, and cannot transform into any other animal. The animal cannot be chosen: it is uniquely suited to that individual's personality.
1. Miss Jessica Mitchell -- Swallowtail Butterfly 2. Wyatt Potter - Pheonix 3. 4. 5.
Metamorphmagi A Metamorphmagus is a witch or wizard born with the innate ability to change some or all of their appearance at will. The talent cannot be acquired; a witch or wizard who has it must be born with it.
Parselmouths Parseltongue is the language of snakes. It is in the common mind associated with Dark Magic and those possessing the ability to speak it are very rare.

Flying Flight without aid of a broomstick or other object is a relatively rare ability.
Seers A Seer is a witch or wizard with the clairvoyant ability to predict future events. The predictions given through this ability can sometimes be self-fulfilling prophecies. Each prophecy made by a Seer is recorded in a glass sphere and stored in the Hall of Prophecy of the Department of Mysteries within the Ministry of Magic and can only be retrieved by one of the people mentioned in it.

Legilimency - 4th Year and UP Legilimency is the magical skill of extracting feelings and memories from another person's mind. It also allows one to convey visions or memories to another person, whether real or imaginary. A witch or wizard possessing this skill is called a Legilimens, and can, for example, detect lies and deceit in another person, witness memories in another person's past, or "plant" false visions in another's mind.
1. Perry Gerain 2. 3. 4. 5.
Occlumency - 4th Year and UP The counter-skill to Legilimency is Occlumency, by which one can compartmentalise one's emotions, or prevent a Legilimens from discovering thoughts or memories which contradict one's spoken words or actions.
1. Harry Potter 2. Leeda Jewel 3. Amelia Nott 4. 5.
Magical Resistance This refers to a certain degree of immunity against hexes and spells found in powerful creatures such as trolls, dragons, and giants. Hagrid, for example, is resistant to certain spells, like the Stunning Spell, due to his giant blood. This type of resistance is not insurmountable.
1. Rubeus Hagrid 2. Olympe Maxime 3. 4.
Veela Veela are a race of semi-human, semi-magical creatures reminiscent of the Sirens of Greek mythology. They appear to be young, beautiful human women, and their appearance and especially their dance are magically seductive to almost all males. When Veela are angry, however, they transform into something more like Harpies — their faces turn into cruel-beaked bird heads and long scaly wings burst from their shoulders, and they can launch balls of fire from their hand.
1. Klera Wolf 2. Layda Austen 3. 4. 5. 6.
So, if you want to apply for one of these abilities, please fill in this form:

It has been a year since Harry Potter defeated Voldemort in the Battle of Hogwarts. The world has finally gotten a period of blissful peace after the many years of Voldemort's terrors. The Ministry of Magic in London has begun to bond with other countries, and has therefore created bonds with other Magical Schools.
Teams of Aurors have already captured every Death Eater and put them in Azkaban. The Ministry has ceased any uprisings, desparate to make the peace last for centuries more. The world seems to be getting brighter and brighter by the minute.
How long will this last?
Suddenly, armies of Muggles begin to destruct the Magical World. But, how did they get in? Aren't Muggles supposed to suddenly remember an appointment when they neared magical communities? There must be someone controlling them; someone has to be working behind the scenes... Someone who wants to revive the Dark Lord's prophecies.
