Gryffindor is still in the lead as Alohomora turns one month old! Thanks to everyone for your activity and fun. :) OTMs will be sent to the poll once more in a couple of days.
And the plot is about to have a very surprising twist. ;) You'll find out eventually. Just don't bother asking me; my lips are sealed.

Yay! The site will most likely be up by tomorrow afternoon! All we have to do is fix a few problems in the coding and add a few more boards, and everything will be ready! =)

Ok, It’s august 4th and the site is almost done, a few simple adjustments are being placed together, things are going up rather nicely and the board looks really good. We have a few new Staff members that are all wonderful people and are all working diligently to ensure that the site is up and running as soon as possible.

Mairi stepped off of the Moving Staircase onto the Third Floor. This was her first time on this floor because she hadn't had time to do much exploring of the castle. But now she had her chance! She wanted to see and learn as much of Hogwarts as she could! As she took some more steps she came across a corridor up ahead. Wondering what could be at the end of it, Mairi ran closer to it but stopped at the corner.
She thought it would be best if she was cautious when exploring an unknown territory. So she peeked her head around the corner, slowly, and peered down the corridor. It was empty. 'Is it always empty here?' she thought to herself. 'I wonder if anyone ever comes up here....' Then a slight chill crept up her spine. Was she even supposed to be here?! Surely it was okay; she was just having a look around, getting herself used to living in the castle.

Tambough held the flute in his hands playing it's silent tune. He had been up here for so long but didn't care he loved the lonliness the silence jsut him and his beautiful music. He had been freinds with the last Grounskeeper and this one had trusted him to keeping Fluffy calm. He had a bad rash and kept yelling and screaming scaring lots of the students. The music came out softly and with Tambough's powers dust was lifting off of everything dancing thorugh the air like a ball in the not to distant sky.

So far as she knew, she was the only 1st Year at Hogwarts. She hadn't seen any other 1st years yet and felt lonely, even though there were other, older, students around. Since she had come to Hogwarts, she had only met one other student, Kevin Malfoy, who ended up being a very flirtatious boy. He had asked her out, which startled her quite a bit, he being much older than her. Even though she liked meeting new people, that interaction with Kevin made her wonder if all older boys were like that. If so, it could be very difficult coexisting with each other when all they would want was a date with a pretty girl! Mairi decided that she would try to seek out more younger students.
Just as she was about to head down the corridor and explore some more, she noticed some dust floating around. "That's strange..." she thought out loud. "But then again, this is Hogwarts, so a lot of strange things happen now and then." She added. She looked around to see if she could find the source of this occurrence and spotted a boy walking down the corridor. "Oh no! He looks about as old as Kevin!" She said quietly to herself. If this boy ended up talking to her the way Kevin did, Mairi would probably run down to her dormitory screaming.

Tambough closed his eyes playing the flute it's beautiful music sarounding him blocking out the other sounds around him. The magic was filling Tambough, Filling him with warmth. He couldn't even hear the heavy footsteps of the girl. He couldn't hear the sounds that where slightly interupting his song. He had only been given the flute today but his unatural talent to music ment he could play it's tune no matter what. The dust was swirling faster know as it started to move to him then away, to him and away.

As the boy approached more, she saw that he was playing a flute and all the dust that was floating around was gathering back and forth around him. She just stood there gaping in amazement. 'Wow, that's kinda neat....' she thought to herself, awestruck. She had never seen anyone play a flute, let alone seen dust act in this manner before. He looked so peaceful playing his flute. She didn't know whether or not to disturb him from his playing.

Jurrell now was moving his hands rapidly over the flutes note wholes the end verse of the song making some of the dust glitter a light orange as they started to dart around and rest in there previous places. Tambough finished the music it still ringing in his ears as he opened his eyes. He noticed the girl standing there watching and almost jumped. He didn't say a word. He wanted to be alone with his music but he just couldn't be alone could he.

Mairi jumped right when he jumped. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." She stammered. She looked around to see all the dust falling back where it had been before. She turned back to the boy and asked, "That was amazing! How did you do all that?" Clearly he wasn't one to play in front of people, like the way he did just now.
Mairi knew about instruments, but she'd never played one in her life, and she'd only heard orchestras play on old records that her parents had. Her favorite was the trumpet, with that clear brass pounding hard in the air, and bouncing off of walls and objects. But she also liked the beautiful relaxing sound of the flute and the mysterious music of the violin. Her parents had told her about famous musicians like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart.

Tambough raised an eyebrow to the girl. "sorry if i startled you" He said bowing outof respect. He held the flute loosely in his hands. He heard her say how it was amazing. "I-I J-Just can" he startled he never showed his power to people. He treid to find a reson to leave stepping back slightly. "why?" He asked her he had never thought he was mazing it was just the music that he loved.

When the boy acted embarrassed, she felt kind of nervous that he would be mad at her for seeing what he just did. "I, well.... I just thought it was neat how you made all that dust fly around like that. I've never seen anything like that before. And I've never actually seen anyone play an instrument." She said, trying to explain her amazement. She glanced from side to side out of the corners of her eyes and said, "My name's Mairi Avalbane. I'm a first year Hufflepuff, but I haven't seen any other first years here yet." She lowered her head and hoped that she wasn't the only one of her age here!

"I-I don't usually play infront of pople" he said still stuttering. He was a little afraid he didn't like to to talk. But he did feel stupid. He was atleast four year oldr and taller and yet hje was the one backing away. But he knocked away those thoughts. He heard her remark. "i'm sure you'll meet someone" He said bending down to an instrument case. he opened it to reaveal a whole range of insturments he carefully took the flute apart and put it away.

With her head still lowered she said, "I hope so. I feel kind of lonely, and I've only met one other student besides you. His name is Kevin Malfoy, and he kinda scares me." She looked up to see him putting his flute away and saw all the other ones in the case. "Wow! How do all those other ones fit in there?" she asked staring in wonder. "I've never seen so many all together like this."

Tambough looked up to her. "yeah they all fit in" He said closing ther case. "why does he scare you?" He asked her quitely. He didn't like people feeling bad. He looked into her eyes his own pure brown. His eyes and hair always where agactly the same as the sounds around him. With everyword the eyes flaseh a diferent shade but returned when there was only silence.

Mairi felt a jolt through her body as he asked her this. She was embarrassed to talk about what it was Kevin had asked her, but there was no turning back now. "Um, he asked me out." She said quickly, looking away. "And he's about your age, probably...." She added. Mairi knew she wasn't ready for a serious relationship yet, and just the thought of it made her nervous. At her young age, all she really wanted was a friend, someone closer to her age that she could really talk to and not get scared or jittery. But so far, she hadn't heard of or seen any other first years.

Yeah someone having a love confesion is pretty scarey. "if it where me i would of been in the other direction before you can say Tamborine" He looked up to her he had not been lonely until she had come but he didn't want to be rude but he wanted to play his music again soooo badly. And he's about your age, probably Tambough looked around. "To tell you the truth I know no one around here" He said though it probably didn't help. "and honestly i like it that way" He said. Half of the intention was to tell the girl to go so he could be alone with the music.

Mairi was silent for a couple moments, glancing around now and then. Then she decided to explore the castle some more. Maybe she would meet someone else, someone closer to her age. One thing that made her uncomfortable around older students was the fact that she was a first year, a newbie, an underclassmen. She just figured that she was probably annoying to older kids. "Well, I guess I'll go explore some more." She said, turning to leave and waving goodbye. "Nice talking to you." she said with a little smile.

Tambough sighed. "wait up" He said to her. "you probabley won't find anyone today it's the first day of Quiditch trials" he brethed in "and i'm sorry if i sounded rude" He said in his usual low tone. "if you want me to though i've enver played infront of someone alone before" He pulled open his case. "i could play you an instrument" This was a big deel to Tambough but he wasn't sure wheather or not the other girl would think so.

Mairi stopped in her tracks and looked back at him. "Well....." She said, her voice drifting off. He really didn't seem like a very social person, and Mairi guessed that he liked to keep to himself. Plus, she WAS just a first year. No upperclassmen ever really socialized with a little newbie like herself. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I can tell you don't really wanna talk, so... I'll just be on my way, I haven't even seen the whole castle yet. I need to find out where all the classrooms are so I'm not late on the first day of class, looking around for the right room." She turned and walked back to the Moving Staircase.

Tambough watched the girl leave and heard fluffy yawn. Je sighed and picked up a violin. He walked up to the door and began to play a gently meleody to the giant dog. The tune made a small flame infront of Tambough and it lightly danced around his body. Then it split into two and they danced seperately splitting every now and then to make glowing dancers. Tambough opened his mouth and let out a melodous sigh. "If only, If only the woodpecker sighs The wood on the trees where as soft as the skies Wolf crows out low, hungry and lonly He howls to the moon, if only if only"
"if only, if only the catterpillar plees that these leaves would saround him with great ease, poor baby bird cries out tonley he cries to the clouds If only If only" Tambough sung with his naturally good voice making all the flames tinge blue around him. (well Some on esle has to join now)

It has been a year since Harry Potter defeated Voldemort in the Battle of Hogwarts. The world has finally gotten a period of blissful peace after the many years of Voldemort's terrors. The Ministry of Magic in London has begun to bond with other countries, and has therefore created bonds with other Magical Schools.
Teams of Aurors have already captured every Death Eater and put them in Azkaban. The Ministry has ceased any uprisings, desparate to make the peace last for centuries more. The world seems to be getting brighter and brighter by the minute.
How long will this last?
Suddenly, armies of Muggles begin to destruct the Magical World. But, how did they get in? Aren't Muggles supposed to suddenly remember an appointment when they neared magical communities? There must be someone controlling them; someone has to be working behind the scenes... Someone who wants to revive the Dark Lord's prophecies.
